Children's Bikeability:

Children and families courses begin off road, known as level 1.  Basic skills are coached to ensure they are safe to venture on quiet roads accompanied by instructors. Level 2 is carried out, on quiet roads, using 'risk assessed' sections of road and junctions. At these basic skills are drilled, until the required competency is attained, for the child to be able to cope with quiet road conditions.

Adult 'Confidence Booster':

Courses for adults also begin off road, so the less experienced rider can attain good basic bike handling skills and some confidence, before any contact with traffic. Even the most experienced 'self taught' cyclist benefits from a 'fast track' off road starter to address any 'unhelpfulhabits'.  As with Junior Bikeability, seniors will be taken through the basics of cycling on quiet roads (level 2) and then embark upon level 3, once they are ready.  Instructor and participant decide together on speed of progression through to completion of the level 3 syllabus.
